Class Bulletins
How you message parents and students. There's no separate inbox — a bulletin is a notice sent to a chosen audience.
Sending one
Bulletins are almost always sent from where the reason for writing shows up:
- From a class — Class Directory → Message addresses that class's students and parents
- From a student — Student profile → Message addresses that student and their parents
The recipients are filled in for you. Write the notice and send.
The list
Active bulletins shows what's been sent, with a filter by audience to see student notices and parent notices separately.
Audience matters
A notice to parents and a notice to students are different things, and the audience filter keeps them apart. Check it before assuming a parent saw something: a bulletin to students does not reach parents.
Reports go out this way
Reports are drafted in the report builder but sending to parents comes with Announcements — a finished report isn't delivered until it goes out as a bulletin.
If a parent says they didn't get it
- Check the bulletin's audience — students only is the commonest cause.
- Check the student is actually in the class; a bulletin only reaches current members.
- Confirm the parent is linked to that student. Only a school admin can fix that link.
