Settings and notifications
Two shared screens that sit outside the main navigation.
Notifications
The bell in the top bar opens your notification feed. For a principal it carries:
- Behaviour concerns logged by teachers against your students.
- Staff requests awaiting a decision.
- Class invites where relevant.
Unread items are marked, and the counter clears as you read them. Nothing is emailed — the feed is the only delivery, so an empty feed means nothing is pending, not that delivery failed.
Settings
The account screen shared by every console:
- Profile — your name and contact details, as they appear to staff and parents.
- Password — change it here.
- Appearance — theme preference for your account.
Changes save immediately; the screen confirms with a brief Saved message. If a save reports an error, nothing was stored — retry rather than assuming a partial save.
One thing to know about your name
Your name appears on bulletins and in staff-facing lists. A name saved as an email address or a placeholder shows up exactly that way to parents, so set it properly before the first bulletin goes out.
