Textbook

Textbook is the reader. It shows your actual curriculum chapter as a page you can read, highlight, have read aloud, and ask about — without leaving the topic you are studying.

Where to find it

Dashboard → Step 1 — Read the Topic → Textbook.

The header bar

Across the top of the reader:

ControlWhat it does
Reading ProgressHow much of the chapter you have worked through, shown as n% completed
HighlightTurns the highlighter on so selected text is saved
AI ExplainRuns the AI over the text you selected
Read Aloud / Stop ReadingSpeaks the page; the same button stops it
AaText size

The left column

  • Chapter Progress — how far through this chapter you are
  • Topic Outline — the sections inside the chapter, so you can jump around
  • Quick Navigation — jump to another chapter or topic without going back to the Dashboard
  • Learning Goal — what this chapter is meant to teach you

The middle panel

The chapter text itself. If you haven't opened a chapter yet the panel reads "Open a chapter to read" — pick one from Quick Navigation or the Topic Outline.

Highlights you make here stay attached to the chapter and come back when you return.

The right panel — Quick Actions

Five actions that turn the reading you just did into something else:

  • Generate Flashcards
  • Quiz Me
  • Create Mnemonic
  • Summarize Topic — marked Soon
  • Turn Into Mind Map — marked Soon

Anything marked Soon is visible but not yet working.

Read with a purpose

Highlight the sentences that answer your Learning Goal, then use Generate Flashcards on the way out. The cards are built from what you marked, so a scruffy highlight set gives you scruffy cards.
