Before you start: this tool reads your dashboard selection — Step 1 Curriculum, Step 2 Subject, Step 3 Chapter, Step 4 Topic. Choose all four on the Dashboard first. With nothing selected the screen opens empty, and that is expected, not a fault.

Learn by Click

Learn by Click teaches by one question at a time. You read a question, pick one of four answers, and the screen tells you straight away whether you were right and why. It works best for material you have already read once and want to confirm.

Where to find it

Dashboard → Step 2 · Understand your Topic → Learn by Click.

It opens in the same lesson window as Learn by Chat, headed Learn by Click with your curriculum and subject in the corner (IGCSE > Biology).

The five phases

Across the top of the question is a progress strip. Each phase fills as you work through it, and your topic name sits on the current one:

1. Getting Started
2. Building Understanding
3. Applying the Concept
4. Real-World Scenarios
5. Mastery Check

The strip tells you where you are in the topic, not how many questions are left. Finishing all five is what completes the session.

Answering a question

Each question appears on its own with four options, marked A to D.

1. Read the question.
2. Click an option. Once clicked it stays selected — you can change it before continuing.
3. Read the feedback that appears beneath the answers.
4. Click Continue to move on.

Continue is greyed out until you have picked something; it will not skip you past a question.

What the feedback says

Answer correctly and you get:

Correct! Sensitivity, the ability to detect and respond to changes in their environment, is a universal characteristic required for the survival of all living organisms

Answer incorrectly and it marks your choice wrong, shows the correct option, and explains it. Either way you get the reasoning, not just a tick or a cross — which is the point of the mode.

The AI Coach

A round Asai button sits at the bottom-right of every question. Clicking it opens the AI Coach panel, with a message box at the bottom labelled Ask your coach….

• Asking does not affect your score or move you off the question.
• Close in the panel's top-right hides it again.
• If the box reads Signing you in…, your session is still loading; it accepts a message once your name resolves.

Use it when you want the idea behind the question explained rather than answered.

If ASAI has no questions for the selected topic, the screen shows:

This means the question bank has nothing for that topic yet — not that the page is still loading. Try a different topic, or use Learn by Chat for the explanation instead.

Tips

• Answer before asking the coach; being wrong and reading why is what fixes the idea.
• Watch the phase strip rather than counting questions — it is the only progress indicator on the screen.
