Before you start: Step 5 reads your dashboard selection — Step 1 Curriculum, Step 2 Subject, Step 3 Chapter, Step 4 Topic. Choose all four on the Dashboard first. With nothing selected the chat opens, but ASAI has no topic to build a technique around.
Storytelling
The chain method: each fact becomes a plot point, and each plot point drags the next one behind it.
What ASAI does first
It sets a scene, introduces the first character or event, and fixes a genre and emotional tone. Abstract concepts become characters with motives rather than definitions — a cell with an agenda is easier to remember than a sentence about cells.
You are asked what you like — fantasy, sci-fi, noir — and the story is bent to fit.
Then it chains
Every remaining concept enters as a plot point, a character or a magical object, and each must lead to the next. ASAI is instructed to use cause and effect and sensory detail (what it smells like, how it sounds) rather than a tidy summary, because a summary is what you already could not remember.
How it knows you are done
You can narrate the complete story from memory with all key concepts appearing as story elements in the right order.
Retelling in your own words is expected — the wording may drift, the order may not.
Good to know
- The order is the point. If a concept can move without breaking the story, the chain is too loose.
- Conflict and a payoff beat a pleasant tour. ASAI is told to add tension for exactly this reason.
- Best technique for topics with a natural sequence — a process, a cycle, a set of causes and effects. Poor for flat lists.
