Before you start: Step 5 reads your dashboard selection — Step 1 Curriculum, Step 2 Subject, Step 3 Chapter, Step 4 Topic. Choose all four on the Dashboard first. With nothing selected the chat opens, but ASAI has no topic to build a technique around.
1-2-3 Method
Number-shape hooks. Each concept is tied to a number from 1 to 10 by what the digit looks like.
What ASAI does first
It assigns the first three concepts to numbers and builds a short scene for each, using the digit's shape as the physical object:
- 1 — candle or spear
- 2 — swan
- 3 — handcuffs or butterfly
The scene is deliberately one or two sentences and high-action, because the shape is the anchor and everything else is noise.
Then it chunks
Remaining concepts take numbers 4 to 10, and items are grouped into sets of three so you carry three scenes at a time instead of ten.
How it knows you are done
You can instantly recall the concept for any number and the number for any concept, across the full list.
Testing runs both directions — ASAI calls a number, then calls a concept — and mastery repeats it in random order.
Good to know
- Do not confuse this with the Peg System. Both use numbers, but 1-2-3 anchors on the shape of the digit and Peg anchors on a rhyme (1 = Sun, 2 = Shoe). Pick one, not both, for the same topic.
- Ten is the practical ceiling. Beyond that the shapes start repeating and the method collapses.
- If a number's shape does not suggest anything for your concept, say so — ASAI will rebuild that scene rather than leave a weak hook.
