The student becomes the teacher — teach ASAI and it will act as your student.

When to Use It

  • You want to cement your understanding by explaining it
  • You want to find gaps in your knowledge
  • You prefer active recall over passive reading
  • You want to practice simplified explanations

How It Works

Explain your topic to ASAI. It acts as an inquisitive student, asking questions and seeking clarification to help you find gaps in your own understanding and master the material.

Memorize uses smart spaced revision to help you remember things long-term — not just cram.

How the Spacing Works

ASAI uses adaptive SM-2+ timing to schedule reviews:

  • First review: about 10 minutes after learning
  • Intervals adjust based on how you perform
  • Scores factor in correctness, speed, and confidence
  • Reviews stretch from hours to months

What Happens During Review

  • ASAI pauses when a concept is due
  • You answer a quick checkpoint question
  • Your answer is scored (accuracy + speed + confidence)
  • The next review time is calculated
  • Your lesson continues automatically

Watch: How spaced repetition helps with long-term retention

Tip: The system adapts to your memory. Easy concepts show up less. Tough ones show up more — until they stick.

Create and take practice quizzes to check what you know and see how you’re improving.

ASAI adjusts in real time based on how you’re actually doing.

How It Adapts

  • Difficulty shifts up or down based on your answers
  • Pace speeds up or slows down to match your understanding
  • Tough concepts come back more often
  • Explanations adjust to how you learn best
  • Basics are locked in before moving to advanced topics

A smart review system built for long-term memory — not last-minute cramming.

What the Algorithm Looks At

ASAI’s upgraded SM-2+ system tracks:

  • If your answer was correct
  • How fast you answered
  • How confident you felt
  • Whether you used hints
  • Your past performance

How Review Timing Is Set

Your next review depends on your retention score:

  • 90%+ → Easy → Interval jumps up a lot
  • 70–89% → Good → Normal increase
  • 50–69% → Hard → Small increase
  • Below 50% → Reset → Comes back in about 1 hour

It keeps pushing strong concepts further out — and brings weak ones back sooner.

Watch: Understanding the spaced repetition algorithm

See your mastery update in real time across subjects and concepts.

How Mastery Is Calculated

  • Exposure (10%) — How many times you’ve seen the concept
  • Practice (70%) — Your performance on practice questions
  • Hard Checkpoints (20%) — Results from tougher assessments

What Are Hard Checkpoints?

Once you’ve had enough reps (3+ exposures, 3+ practice attempts, and at least 50% practice score), ASAI triggers a harder question to test deeper understanding.

It’s not just “did you try?” — it’s “do you really get it?”
